7. Use of solar energy |
|
Solar energy, a clean and renewable
energy, can be used in many ways. For example:
- Llight energy from the Sun can be transformed into electrical
energy, with many applications, from small consumer objects,
such as watches and calculators, to houses or small communities,
land and sea signals, communications, etc.
- The Sun is also a source of heat energy, and can be
used to heat bath water and for home heating systems,
thus avoiding the emission of polluting gases into the
atmosphere and saving on non-renewable energies.

Defining terms. Defining is a very important
yet complex conceptual activity. There are general rules for making
a definition, including that it should not be too broad or too
narrow, too vague, that it should not be circular, contain non-essential
features or be partial. |
What faults have the following
definitions got? Some may have more than one fault. |
1. |
The Sun is big. |
2. |
Solar energy is not hydraulic energy. |
3. |
The heat of the Sun is the heat
that comes from the sun. |
4. |
Solar energy is a type of energy. |
5. |
A solar panel is rectangular. |
6. |
Solar energy is a renewable energy. |
